Call of Duty Warzone Mobile delayed to Spring 2024
Activision recently announced in the Call of Duty Next event that they’ve decided to delay the release of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, the mobile version of the battle royale game. So, bad news for those who were waiting for the game to be released this year.
Well, now you will have to wait, as it’s not coming out in 2023. The game was scheduled to come out in late 2023. However, the publisher recently announced that they need more time to make sure everything is perfect and improve the overall experience.
In a statement, Activision said:
“We have a few more things we want to polish up before we release around the world in spring of 2024. We’re committed to delivering a world-class battle royale experience on mobile, and we believe this extra time will allow us to do just that.”
Warzone Mobile is currently in development by a team of studios under Activision, which includes Beenox, Digital Legends, and Solid State Studios. The game will include popular maps like Verdansk and Rebirth Island which fans love. It will also have shared progression with the console and PC versions of Warzone.
Activision has confirmed that Warzone Mobile is still on schedule for a limited regional early testing phase, despite the delay. Those who have pre-registered for the game will receive an invitation to take part in this testing.
It’s definitely disappointing to hear about the delay of Warzone Mobile for fans of the franchise. However, it’s important to keep in mind that game development is a complex process. It’s great that Activision is dedicated to providing a well-crafted and improved gaming experience. This will ultimately benefit the game in the future.
