The Diablo 4 patch 1.1.1 improves the Barbarian and Sorcerer significantly
The Diablo 4 patch 1.1.1
Update 1.1.1 for Diablo IV will be released on August 8, and it will include major changes for Barbarians and Sorcerers, as well as adjustments to the quantity of creatures encountered during endgame activities and a few other minor, quality-of-life tweaks.
The first big patch after the contentious Season 1 release will focus on making Barbarian and Sorcerer players’ life simpler, as Blizzard explained in a developer “campfire” chat. Blizzard is trying to improve the Barbarian’s early game play experience by buffing the damage of skills like Rupture and Charge and raising the amount of Fury generated by the class’s base abilities.
Blizzard is improving the Barbarian’s late-game experience by making some of his Unique items and Legendary Aspects more powerful and appealing. Blizzard is merely increasing the base damage and stats of Unique items like Hellhammer and Fields of Crimson, and swapping out less desired affixes with those that are more in demand as part of the Unique upgrades.
The Diablo 4 patch 1.1.1 Improvements about Sorcerer’s and Barbarian
A number of improvements have been made to sorcerers’ abilities and equipment that should make them stronger late in the game. When Greater Chain Lightning rebounded off of you before, for example, it just increased its damage against you, but now it increases its damage against anybody it hits. Several of its Legendary features and Paragon boards have also undergone revisions.
Similarly, a number of Barbarian abilities will be strengthened to increase damage output and Fury generation in the early game. One of the class’ basic attacks, Violent Upheaval, has been upgraded such that it now causes Berserking, a brief damage bonus, off of bosses as well as ordinary adversaries.
Blizzard cautions that when the patch goes live, players will need to re-obtain the item in order to benefit from all of the modifications made to the late-game Unique items for both classes. However, the modified Unique item statistics will be implemented as soon as the patch is released.
The patch 1.1.1 for Diablo 4 will address the issue of enemy density in late-game content. Simply told, it’s being raised as part of a larger effort to provide endgame gamers with a greater challenge when they’ve reached the class ceiling in levels.”Content needs to have high monster density for powerful builds to mow down,” said game director Joe Shely at the same campfire discussion live broadcast last week.

With the release of patch 1.1.1, players at level 50 and beyond will face bigger enemy groupings when completing endgame content like Strongholds and Nightmare Dungeons. Better endgame gear is more likely to drop, and the XP drop rate should improve as a consequence. We are excited to see how the increased enemy density affects the game, since it will make levelling up much less taxing.
