Microsoft’s Chief Gaming Officer Phil Spencer recently commented,

“We think that playing games together may be a great way to build community.” So, Xbox is dedicated to expanding the number of platforms on which gamers may enjoy its catalog of games. Boosteroid CEO Ivan Shvaichenko was excited to hear about Microsoft’s plans to expand access to gaming across additional devices and platforms. Shvaichenko claims that from the beginning, Boosteroid’s goal has been to allow gamers to enjoy their games on any mobile device. The collaboration with Microsoft is viewed as an additional means to this end.

Shvaichenko liked that Microsoft kept putting money into Ukraine, where Boosteroid’s development team is based. Also, the two businesses will collaborate on a project to assist Ukraine’s game developers and boost the country’s economy.

Boosteroid is a Ukrainian R&D company with locations in both Kyiv and Kharkiv. It was founded in 2017. Only in 2023 has the company declared plans to expand its cloud-based gaming services to more platforms, such as Macs, Chromebooks, Android TVs, and LG televisions. You can play games on the cloud using either a web browser or downloadable software, and they work with a wide variety of operating systems.

The corporation has data center operations in six U.S. states, including Microsoft’s home state of Washington, as well as in the U.K., France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, and Serbia.

The gaming community is a big part of Ukraine’s software industry, and Microsoft just added Ukrainian language support to the Xbox dashboard, PC apps, and mobile apps. Furthermore, in spring 2023, Microsoft is expected to launch PC Game Pass in Ukraine, providing even more options for gamers to enjoy their favorite titles.

Microsoft’s Vice Chair and President Brad Smith said that the cooperation with Boosteroid builds on the company’s efforts to support Ukraine since Russia’s illegitimate invasion. Smith said that Microsoft is committed to helping

Ukraine’s 160,000 software engineers and has given Ukraine $430 million in technical and financial help.

Smith emphasized that the relationship with Boosteroid complements Microsoft’s recent deals with Nintendo and NVIDIA, which will make it possible for gamers to play “Call of Duty” on more devices than ever before. With these partnerships, Microsoft shows how much it wants popular games to work on different platforms and devices.
